Welcome!

I’m Cláudia Ramos Monteiro. I grew up in Portugal, but my imagination was shaped by a mix of Portuguese and North American culture, and a mix of secularism and Christianity in a couple of its strands (Protestantism and Catholicism). If your upbringing was more homogeneous, you probably wouldn’t think that this makes for a bit of a mess, but it does!, one I am now trying to untangle.

There’s a bit of a mess in language too: some of the texts you find here are in English, some in European Portuguese—which is fine if you speak both languages and confusing if you don’t. My apologies, and thank you for bearing with me.
